baby sign language

I have heard typically children tend to learn sign language at 10 months. Ariana has been way ahead as far as development for about the 1st 9 months. I then started to worry because I have been waiting for her to use some sign language that I have periodiclly been using. Not sure of how usuful baby sign language is I stopped doing it with Ariana showing no signs at wanting to communicate that way. Last Sunday it all changed. All the sudden everything we have been trying to do with her she just started doing. Its like on Sunday she woke up and decided I am going to start using my hands like everyone does. I really wish I had a video camera to show everyone. But I am so excited and really going to focus on sign language with her. If you ask Ariana for kisses (just say the word kiss) and she will blow you kisses, lots of kisses. Ask her to give you a high 5 and she gives you lots of hi-5. She is waves at anyone she sees. She knows it melts peoples hearts and she gets lots of giggles so she will give anyone kisses. While going upstairs to our apartment the landscaper was adding in mulch and we were talking to him, and i said say bye bye and she started blowing him kisses and waving. Today she learned how to put shapes into the right shape holes in her toys, and takes balls and puts them in the correct spot. I like taking her outside and play on the slide out back and she seems to have a love-hate relationship with the slide. Today she LOVED the darn thing. I was sliding her backwards and on her belly and she had a huge smile on her face. It goes to show that even with you dont think children are taking in everything around them, they watch you and learn so fast, and apply what they have learned when they are ready.
